Have you all had a melt down about money and how much this wedding is costing?!?!?!!?!? Today I am feeling like 'is it all worth it?' I know it is, but jeez, the money part is ridiculous! Please tell me I'm not alone.

OK I feel better....being on vacation this week and trying to get stuff done has really got me stressed out - I almost wish I was at school!!!! (almost)

I said the same thing yesterday. I was literally like HOW in the world are we going to swing this AND apartment/house hunt?

i do all the time....i am hoping everything goes smooth and it is all worth it....part of me stresses... I just feel like I can buy sooooo much with the money and is one day really worth it??????

And what makes it worse is that FH thinks I am crazy - he's like well we only have flowers and limos to book (oh, ok what about invites, favors, dress fittings, BP gifts, hair and makeup and the 1 billion things I am forgetting!!!!!!!!!!!)

Yea and the fact that ALL the payments are due like RIGHT before the wedding.

Exactly!! We are tying to pay for the wedding and save for a downpayment.... its soo tough!

Yeah Im freaking out too.. Believe me. The thing is with me is that Im confident that we will have the money for our wedding. What's killing us is everything else we have to pay for. I have three weddings alone in June.. One is my BROTHER, another is my FH's cousin, and the other is a very CLOSE friend. So you can only imagine that I have showers, bachelorette parties and everything else--including all the costs involved in moving out & finding an apartment- ON TOP (& before) my own wedding It is sooo hard, but we have both been cutting back on a lot of things. 2006 is a very crazy year for me, SO Im going into it prepared.
I know that everything will work out for you & your FH come the day of your wedding. I haven't met a bride yet that hasn't freaked out about how they are going to pay for their wedding. Unless your parents are footing the bill.. It is soooo hard. (Probably one of the BIGGEST challenge of our lives) I say this because My fh & I are paying for everything on our own-soup to nuts. That is the way we intended it to be.

i'm with you! i was in the same situation not so long ago. FH and i bought a house 3 months ago, so between $ for that, the wedding, HM, etc....I freaked out! but i just sat down and figured out exactly how much i needed to save each month and how i would do it and that made me feel a little better. good luck and feel better!! it'll all work out!

same here! when i get overwhelmed with stress over money issues, i sit down with my notebook. pen, calculator, and calendar and i look at our budget and figure out where the money is coming from. when i work it out on paper i feel better. ~lacey

Right there with you. Today alone I asked FH if we afford this at least a dozen times. We booked video today, and right before we walked out, and asked him one more time if he was sure we could afford it, since once we were out the door the contract was official.

You are totally not alone. On top of paying for the wedding on our own, my FI's grandmother passed away earlier this month and we live in the apartment above her and now the family is selling the house...so we have to move really soon. We will be looking at condos within the next two weeks. We haven't even finished paying for the wedding and now we have to move!!
