nope!!! me too!!!!! i didnt want to wear one at all..but the look on my mothers face when i told her looked like bambi when his mom got shot.....so we made a deal..id wear it in church but reception that sucker is coming off

I went looking this weekend for veils (just a quick look)....and I hated the thing on my head! And it was so poofy too!
I am going to wait a while longer and go looking again...
Plus the whole tiara? headband? hair accessories maybe is freaking me out too!
I'm not a tiara kind of girl :(

I am not wearing one at all, but I am also not getting married in a Church.
Just put some nice pins or clips or flowers in your hair. Don't feel like you have to wear a vail under pressure!

uughh....well, get the cheapest, most simple vail possible and then take it off as soon as you step out of the church and into the car....lolol.

Oh wow! Well I love veils, but it s**ks that you have to wear one and you don't want to! At least you can take it off as soon as the ceremony is over!

Do you like the birdcage veils? They are a pretty alternative to a heavier, traditional veil. Could you wear one of those in your church?

Oh...I like the veil. I don't know about a blusher yet. Not sure if I am doing that. I do agree that some veils are AWFUL and wayyyy to 80's looking thought!
I do love my veil. It lays perfectly and doesn't have the 80s poof. Even though i love my veil i will not be keeping it on the entire time. I did just recently go to a wedding where the bride had it on the entire time... and no one could see all the pretty detail on the back of her dress.

i'm sure you will find something that is tolerable..... what if you just wear a one-layer in the back, not wear it over your face? then you can take it right off :)

i'm ok with the veil, but it's the tiara that i do not like. my mom really wants me to get one, but i told her it is not going to happen.

I really don't want to wear one either. One, I think it's a waste of money to get one when I am only wearing it for 45 minutes. Two, If I do wear the piece in the front for the church, my Dad will rip it out when he goes to give me away. He did this with TWO of my Sisters. The videos are funny- he spent like 10 minutes trying to take it out. LOL. He will more than likely F up my hair. And that will not be good. Plus, why the hell is it so expensive for a piece of tulle that costs nothing in the fabric stores?????

I was sort of against wearing a veil. I told myself I would wear it to the ceremony and that was it. I ended up wearing it the entire night, it looks nice in pictures, and I forgot I even had it on.

Same thing happened to my Friend. She was not planning to wear it all day but ended up doing so.
