Please tell me that I didn't screw up too bad! I'm sorta freaking out!

I did my invitations yesterday and they are finally complete. The outer envelopes are addressed beautifully by my friend. Perfectly written out formal.

WELL, I put the people's namees on the INNER ENVELOPE and about 1/2 way through I realized I did this:

Jessica & John

I forgot to write out the 'and.'

Is this a huge faux pas? I realized my mistake and then did the rest the correct way. I FEEL LIKE A JERK!! My mind is so fried with planning lately that I just plain messed up.

Can you ease my mind? Or did I really screw up?

I also have to add that I'm very high strung and usually a perfectionist. I 'freak' easily. Especially when I spent a lot of $$ on the invites and a lot of time.

I can understand that!!

But unless you want to spend more money on new envelopes and re-doing them all, what's done is done, so like someone else said CONGRATS for being finished!!!

'&' and 'and' are the same. No one will even notice, I am sure. Congratulations on getting all of your invites done

I know how you feel - I am the same way but that is a small detail and nobody will notice that - Not to worry.

Don't worry, noone really inspects those inner envelopes. Besides I am not sure that most people know how the envelopes are supposed to be written when they get them anyway.

I used '&' on my inner envelopes and wanted to. Since I was casual and used first names and not formal first and last names on the inner envelopes - I thought it looked better. I have also gotten many that way.

I agree, most people don't know the 'proper' way to address invitations and some people don't even notice all of the different aspects of the invitations. Don't worry at all! Just be happy that you have completed the invitations and now you can start to worry about something else.

I wouldnt freak out over this. I would bet anything that nobody even notices.

lucky for you the inner envelope is supposed to be less formal, so i think & is fine!!!

although i completely understand why you were freaking out over it!!! I'm the same way!!

I'll share my dirty little secret with you, if it makes you feel better....on one of the outer envelopes I realized I forgot to put a comma in between the city and state, so I neatly wrote it in......don't tell anyone! I'm sending it out that way!!!!

In all honestly.. I like the symbol better than the word... I know that may go in the face of what the norm is but it's just my preference.

Therefore, I think what happened will not be that big of a deal.

Congrats on being done.

I don't think many will notice and just be glad they are invited. I'm not inviting my sister and brother.

At least you didn't forget your name or his on the invitation. All the important details your had.
