Diary of a Mad Bride - I'm about halfway through it now, and it's pretty funny.

Have you read the Shopaholic series?

Oooooh if you want one about food, read Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain.

Don't worry, it's not preaching vegetarianism at all. He actually says he doesn't understand veggies and feels bad for them.

Trust me, from one food-obsessed freak to another...it's a must-read.

I think it's funny...I read the first few pages in the store to make sure it was something I'd like. Roz wrote about it on here, and I figured if she got a kick out of it, I would too.

Re: pls recommend books for me

jake and mimi by frank baldwin

Mimi Lessing is engaged to a wonderful man, but although their sexual encounters are satisfying, they lack an air of danger. Enter Jake, a world-class seduction artist who works with Mimi in a leading Manhattan accounting firm. With one glance, he can make women swoon and engage in bondage-style sex. Mimi discovers his power, and Jake, intrigued by her sophistication and control, invites her to watch one of his conquests. She becomes enthralled by his games, eagerly awaiting the next opportunity to watch him in action. What Mimi doesn't realize, however, is that she is being watched by a stalker willing to kill to keep her away from Jake and his conquests. The plot seems like an afterthought in this limp and plodding novel, which overflows with extended descriptions of Jake's sexual technique.

I freakin' SOBBED through this one. It's a great read, but a very emotional one.

Re: pls recommend books for me

I'm reading Bitter is the New Black by Jen Lancaster and just finished Everyone Worth Knowing by the chick who wrote The Devil Wears Prada. Both are pretty good!

ETA: Diary of a Mad Bride was funny and cute, but it's a REALLY fast read. I finished it in little more than a day.
