I'm sorry I know this has been asked 1000000x already but I want to get the best most recent info! I have narrowed my search down to.... kleinfelds David bridal burtons bridal suite of Bayshore possibly rk bridal, Macy's and bridal reflections
my question is do these shops have a good section of plus size dresses to try on?

Im not PS but when I went to BS of Bayshore they has a pretty good selection my mom happened to notice for my little sister who IS plus sized but not married yet. hope that helps

I ended up at The Bridal World in Baldwin because they carry a designer I'm in love with. I narrowed it down between two dresses. One was a size 8 and one was a size 14. Janine (who is amazing) squeezed me into them, but never once made me feel like, good god woman I can't believe you want to try this on. I was able to get a pretty good picture of what I looked like in the dresses. My point in all this is don't be discouraged by what the size says, a good bridal attendant will help you get into it!
That being said, I know that Paradise in Patchogue has a good selection. They were very lovely when I called there asking.

Bridal Suite of Bay Shore had the most selection of Plus Size I feel. I must have tried on 15-20 dresses and in all different styles. They also in general will never try to squeeze you into a non-plus size because they don't want you to feel bad about not fitting. But ultimately I bought my dress at Helen's Bridal in Commack who also had a great selection from what I could tell but I only tried on 4 before I found 'the one' lol. Good Luck!

I'm not PS but when I was at NY Bridal Outlet in Farmingdale, most of the dresses that I fell in love with were plus sized. If you aren't sure about the selection I would call and ask.

David's and bridal suite of Bayshore have the biggest selection from what I can tell. def want to go Burton's bc ive heard they have the best prices but I rant to be able to try on dresses lol and I know kleinfelds does have done from the show lol

I loved Janine - she was awesome...even stayed a little late to help find dresses. She really helped me find my vision because I went in there with no clue. The only reason I didn't buy my dress from them was because they didn't have the dress I wanted to see in house and there was no way I was going to just buy a dress without trying it on. However between Bridal World, Bridal Suite and Paradise, Bridal World to me had the most options. Now RK Bridal is a whole other monster - they have a huge selection - just don't expect them to look glamorous or get stellar service.

I'm plus size (16-18) and got my dress at RK bridal. They had all of the dresses I wanted to try on in MY size. Had a good experience there.

thanks that. good to know. I emailed them though bc the website says on a Sunday to b there by 1230 & they don't take appointments....my 82 yr old grandpa can't stand around hoping we get. taken since we can't get there till 1pm!
