Plus size bridal gowns?

David's Bridal doesn't have anything I really like.

Any one find other sources for plus size bridal gowns, there are a lot of places online, but I am VERY afraid of buying something as important as my wedding dress online.

Re: Plus size bridal gowns?

I bought my dress at Lestans on Ralph Ave in Brooklyn and they have a really large selection of gorgeous plus size gowns...every style you can think of.

Even if you don't buy there, you can get an idea of how a particular style will look on you.

Good Luck!

Re: Plus size bridal gowns?

My cousin got hers in Lynbrook on Sunrise Ave. I am not sure what the name of the place is, but it is on the right side if you are coming from east to west.

GOOD LUCK

Re: Plus size bridal gowns?

I got my dress at Reneta's in Lindenhurst and they have a lot of plus size gowns at very reasonable prices.

Re: Plus size bridal gowns?

Lillettes in Baldwin had a decent selection of Plus size gowns to try on. Some others are:

Wedding Plaza in Baldwin
Bridal Suite of Patchogue

I agree with you. I would be a little nervous about buying a gown on line without being able to try it on and 'feel' it.

Re: Plus size bridal gowns?

I second Lillette's. I ordered my plus sized gown there and they are great to deal with so far!

Re: Plus size bridal gowns?

I bought my dress at Macy's Bridal Salon in Manhasset. I had no problems trying samples on similar to the style that I wanted in cases where they didn't have the exact dress that I liked.

I also saw a lot of samples at RK Bridal.

Re: Plus size bridal gowns?

Another vote for Lillette's here... so far they are the only place that had more than one or two styles in a size I could actually get into and feel like I was actually wearing it. They were very nice and for once I didn't leave a place feeling like there was not a dress for me ANYWHERE!

Lestan's, or across the street is Alisa's Bridal (formerly Bridal Outlet). In Long Island, Estelle's on 110.
