Does anyone know where I can take my girls that might not be 'sample size' to try on dresses besides David's Bridal? I want all my girls to be able to get an idea of how a dress will look on them. I hate the thought of having the smallest girl in my wedding party try on the dress and then making the other girls just get fitted for a size.

Unfortunately i had no luck with this whatsoever. I let my girls pick thier dresses( same color, same length, and same material) because i feel they would know what would look best on them. 4 were able to try the dress on 2 werent.

I know that the Wedding Center in Commack had some dresses in plus sizes - not sure about the selection. One of my BMs is pregnant so they had her try on a dress in a size 22 - just for size, even though it wasn't the dress we ordered. I think they might have a plus size section. You can always give them a call and ask. (And I know that place has a pretty bad rep on here - and some of the women there can be rude, but not all of them - but they were very helpful in ordering my dresses - I ordered a dress in a fabric and color that it doesn't normally come in and they were very good about contacting the manufacturer, so I could get exactly what I was looking for.)

def the wedding center of commack depending on how big the girls are it may not fit them but it by far had the largest selection of any stores i went to. RK bridal has a decent selection too
