Plus Size Girls and Maggie Dresses

I was wondering if any plus size girls got Maggie dresses and if you have pics you can post, and how you felt there sizing was.

I really want a Maggie dress, and I have a few in mind, I am just wondering if they are going to fit. My street size is normally a 20 or 22. Just curious.

I wear a street size 18 and bout my Maggie (Michelle) in a size 22. The 20 fit, but it was a bit snug around my chest so I ordered up one size. No big deal.

I tried on samples in a size 16 which went over my hips with no problems, just wouldn't close in the back because of my chest.

The corset back dresses are the most forgiving, and as an added bonus, have excellent support without having to get a corset bra. I just wore a regular strapless.

i'm plus size and i'm wearing maggie (eleganza) i think you could definitely find a maggie to fit....the sizes go up to size 26, i believe. i had to order my gown about 3 sizes up but that's because i have a really big chest and hips! also, my gown is not corset in the back so it has to fit exact.

i would recommend going to lillettes if you leave near baldwin. they have so many maggie dresses and they were really sweet. i was never made to feel bad about my size! i've also just started my alterations there and the woman who's working with me is awesome!

Call Lillettes first to see if they have the sample.
Bridal Reflections in Massapequa also carries Maggie, but they are the highest priced retailer.

Lillettes can always order the dress for you, even if you try it on in a different store.

no problem! grace looks like a beautiful dress! i actually had my heart set on another maggie dress (funny, i was obsessed with it, but can't even remember the name now), but my opinions really changed once i tried a few on. try on a few different styles....just in case

I love that dress! I did not end up going w/a maggie dress... but a david's bridal dress that was very similar to the maggie's grace dress. I just didnt add the sleeves. Pics are in my album.

This looks very similar to the Grace Linette I think its called. Your dress is beautiful. I actually have tried on a few at Davids, and have one picked out there, but I just don't know if it's THE ONE. I saw the Grace on line and just got a feeling. We shall see. Thank you all for making me feel better. You all chose beautiful gowns.

I am a street size 24 and I wore a Maggie - Rosemary Leigh is the name of the gown and the gown size I ordered was 24 as well and it fit almost perfectly- just had to be taken in a bit on the chest area since I was a bit smaller in that area. Under the gown even though it was a corset back I had a longline strapless bra and also a panty girdle as well. The corset back is very forgiving!

The gown fit perfectly and everyone raved about it.

I tried it on and ordered mine from Lillette's in Baldwin.
