My Mom is looking for a dress, but she is having trouble b/c she wears a plus size and all of the bridal salons only have smaller sizes in there store to try on. She is having a difficult time getting an idea of what the dress will look like on her in her size. Does anyone know of a bridal salon that carries plus size MOB dresses in the store?

My mom is having the same problem however we were in Davids bridal over the weekend shopping for my cousins wedding and they have so many plus size dresses..shes going to start looking there for her MOB when the time comes. Also try Estelles, they carry some plus sizes as well

My mom tried on a bunch of gowns at David's bridal, but she did not find the quality she wanted. We ordered her dress yesterday at HELEN's Bridal in Commack
Honestly, my mom ended up getting her dress at Lord and Taylor. You might want to try stores like Macys, Bloomingdales, Lord and Taylor, Nordstrom. Good luck!

Not all Lord & Taylor stores carry special occasion dresses anymore - the city definitely does, and so does Garden City. Huntington does not.
