I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions for bridal boutiques that had a good selection in plus size wedding dresses. So far, I've only been tracking down boutiques that carry Mori Lee Juliette dresses, but I wouldn't mind some variety. So any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and happy planning!

If that's the Bridal Suite in Bayshore, I've tried them as well as Bridal World in Baldwin. But that is all. I just want to avoid going to shops that only have like 2 selections for my voluptuous curves

Estelle's had a great selection when I went there. They had David Tutera and a few other designers too.

I went with a friend last year and she didn't have to try on one single dress that wasn't a plus sample. It seemed almost like they have every style in both regular sample and plus, which I think is awesome because I know trying to imagine what you would look like in a dress when it only covers half your body would make me feel horrible! So when I go dress shopping I will be checking there for sure!

Hello! I am plus sized and I went to the following places and was able to try on a ton of dresses: Helen's of Commack (they were really good at getting you into the dresses) Fantasia Bridal in Rocky Point (they had probably the biggest selection) Paradise Bridal (ask for Fanny she is the best!). I am plus size and it gets a bit discouraging going shopping because there's a million reg sized dresses but only a handful of plus sized dresses to try. But I went to RK Bridal and got to try on about 10 or more dresses. The same at Kleinfelds. I ended up buying my dress at Bridal Reflection in Massapequa. They were so great there and I tried on a bunch of dresses before finding the one! I ended up with a Maggie Sottero gown.

I am plus size as well and got my dress from Bridal Elegance in Dix Hills.. Phyllis, the owner is very nice and they carry the Mori Lee line as well. Another plus size line to look into is Unforgettable by Bonny Bridals. Commack Wedding Center does have a large selection as well.

I tried on a lot there. I didn't wind up purchasing but I was able to try on different styles in my size and see which I liked the best. It's def a good place to start!

Does anyone know if you need an appointment at Estelle's? I was already planning to check them out this weekend for BM dresses, but now I'm hoping to look for my dress too.

No appointment needed! I loved that! My BM and I went on a whim on MLK Jr day, and while it was busy, I got at least an hour with a consultant and tried on 6-7 gowns. Definitely check them out too :)
