My bridesmaids range from 4'11 to 5'10 and sizes from 0 to 24. It has been impossible finding a dress that works for everyone (I have 9 bridesmaids). The flowing empire waist is suggested for the heavier girl but then the skinny girls look prego and obviously tight dresses dont work for the heavier girl. Help please!!!! We've tried on what feels like 100 dresses and I'm stressing out!!!
Any stores sell plus-size bridesmaids dresses??? Anyone try Here Comes the Bridesmaid in NYC? I'll go anywhere and try anything at this point!! Serious anxiety attack occurring

Re: Plus-Sized BM dress HELP
I would go to David's Bridal. At least just to try on ebcause they have samples in all sizes. I'm plus size AND short and I find the most flattering gowns are A-line or ballgown style, and those work for all body types. A fitted bodice can actually accentuate good curves and A-line or ballgown skirt can hide the problem areas. I've worn this dress a few times Linky

Re: Plus-Sized BM dress HELP
Have you considered getting all the same color but different dress styles?
My girls also range in height and size so I went to DB and said ' satin, strapless and in Marine' and they all picked out the best style for their body type..

I originally was against that idea but now it seems like the best option. I'll have to take another trip to DB and hope for the best. Thanks!

That's a great point. It is nice that they have many different sizes so everyone can realistically try it on and it's not just a tiny sample size. I will have to revisit DB. Thanks!

Re: Plus-Sized BM dress HELP
Is Davids Bridal the only place that offers the same color/materials but different style dresses??

Re: Plus-Sized BM dress HELP
I don't think so, like you can pick a designer and then a color... but I'm not really sure how it goes re: trying on samples - I hear that most shops don't have samples in larger sizes.

Nope, almost everyone has this. I love the selection Bill Levkoff has, but David's is good because they actually carry all of the sizes in the store, not just the bridal 10 sample. I did Bill Levkoff and my plus sized sister couldn't even get into the gown at all.

Re: Plus-Sized BM dress HELP
If there is a designer that you particulary like, tell your girls to chose from there, as long as they are the same material, and color!

Re: Plus-Sized BM dress HELP
I would definitely go with Bill Levkoff. I got married July 2010 and had girls of shapes and sizes in my bridal party. It was the summer and I had them wear tea legth/ A-line dress style #601 in that looked great on everyone. Also, my MOH found out she was pregant after we ordered and they have a maternity dress for her in the same color AND another one of my BM found out she was pregnant as well and it worked.
If you need any help, please let me know! :)

Re: Plus-Sized BM dress HELP
i am in the same situation as you! well i dont have 9 BM but i have 4....ranging from size 0 and 5'5' to a size 22 that is 5' 10'. I decided to let them each get their own style because there is no way a dress will flatter them all. So far we went to davids bridal and are heading to the wedding cneter of commack this weekend but i would love to know where your girls went that they were able to try on so many? all the stores i have been to had alimited selection in plus sizes and my girls couldnt even get them on

Re: Plus-Sized BM dress HELP
Your best bet is to pic out a designer, color, material, and length. Then have the girls choose the styles they want. Try dessy and davids bridal they have alot of styles in the same color and material. Jasmine is nice too.
