My bridesmaids range from 4'11 to 5'10 and sizes from 0 to 24. It has been impossible finding a dress that works for everyone (I have 9 bridesmaids). The flowing empire waist is suggested for the heavier girl but then the skinny girls look prego and obviously tight dresses dont work for the heavier girl. Help please!!!! We've tried on what feels like 100 dresses and I'm stressing out!!!
Any stores sell plus-size bridesmaids dresses??? Anyone try Here Comes the Bridesmaid in NYC? I'll go anywhere and try anything at this point!! Serious anxiety attack occurring

Re: Plus-Sized BM dress HELP
Try Davids bridal.... Plus if you are open to it why not have each girl in a different dress from the same designer. Just a thought

Re: Plus-Sized BM dress HELP
I'm thinking that it might be easier to pick a color, length and fabric from a designer and letting each girl pick a dress they are comfortable in.

Re: Plus-Sized BM dress HELP
I'm thinking my only option is the different styles for everyone. I was trying to avoid that but I'll sacrifice my look for the girls to be comfortable.

Re: Plus-Sized BM dress HELP
I don't have the wide range of sizes, but I have a wide range of chest sizes!!! LOL
I chose a designer (Impressions) and color (black)...we're going with the separates line and then they get to choose whatever top or bottom fits their body style the best.
HTH...

Re: Plus-Sized BM dress HELP
I've tried to find plus sizes samples and no one has them and those stores that claimed they did had a poor selection and only one or two dresses that were all wrong.
ive heard RK Bridal has some but I didn't want to go into the city and wait in line for a room to see what they have. i didnt want to go to david's bridal because i didnt like their dresses, but thats my preference.
I'm going to with different styles for my girls since they are all different. everyone will pick the same brand and have the same color and material and i think this way everyone is happy and looks great!!
good luck!!!

Re: Plus-Sized BM dress HELP
Nope, you can choose any designer! Just choose a designer that has many times of dresses in the same fabric I chose Impressions bc they had a bunch of different dresses in satin that my girls could choose from. A friend that got married 5 yrs ago chose Jim Helm...that's where I got the idea from!

Re: Plus-Sized BM dress HELP
Not sure what your budget is but two birds bridesmaid has awesome dresses and they come in 2 sizes that need NO alterations. One for 0-12 and then 14-24. A friend had an informal wedding and she wore the short one with the roses on the bottom as a bride. She's VERY busty and plus sized and looked gorgeous

Re: Plus-Sized BM dress HELP
I have experience in this, if the waist isnt fitted and they make it in their size, it will look good on them BM dresses are almost always flattering. Even if its strapless u can use a shurg, shawl or sleeves

Re: Plus-Sized BM dress HELP
Having the girls pick their own dress has been awesome for me!!!! No stress what so ever...they're choosing their dress and they can wear whatever kind of black shoe/sandal they want and whatever jewelery they have that they want bc I totally understand that jewelery that I like might not be something that they like so I'm not going to force them to wear it.
One of my friends in the wddding party actually said to me 'thank you for not forcing me to wear something I looked awful in and absolutely hated.' I said, listen you have to wear it for 12+ hrs so you need to be comfortable too!!
