Plus-Sized bridesmaid question

Plus-Sized bridesmaid question

Three of my bridesmaids are plus-sized and I am trying to find dresses for them that suit their bodies best. Since they are DD and above, I already have ruled out any strapless or spaghetti strap styles. I also need something that will look good with a long-sleeved jacket because one of them must cover her tattooed arms for my ceremony and formal photos.

Do you think a halter is best? A two-piece with a long torso? Empire waist?

TIA!

Hey Melissa! I think your best bet is to check out Impressions two piece sets...they come in so many different style tops...you can get a basic a-line skirt and then mix and match the different tops styles, etc. They have so many colors. Oh...and don't let the prices scare you... You can order from someone like Phyllis at Gownfind or Netbride.com to lower your cost tremendously!

Re: Plus-Sized bridesmaid question

I'm definately plus sized (and well endowed upstairs! ) and I wore a two piece to my sisters wedding while the other girls wore strapless (I was MOH, so it was acceptable for me to wear something slighty different).

Halter would be a good option (it's very flattering), so would a dress with thicker straps. I'm going to see if I can find a picture from my sisters wedding to post.

Here is what I did with my DD BMs I let them pick different tops from the same designer. It worked out very well.

Oh my god Michellle, Felicia looks so beautiful! What gorgeous brides you two made!

Lori, I will check out Impressions, and I will definitely use Phyllis (she's already saving me $450 on my dress!)

The halter tops look good...

She's gorgeous to beging with but Felicia looked like she stepped out of a magazine on her wedding day!
