Plus Sized Dresses
Does anyone know where I can find some nice plus sized (size 22/24) Engagement Party Dresses? The plus sized dresses at my usual haunt-David's Bridal-are a little too formal & long I feel (correct me if I'm wrong)... we're having it in July, so I want something a little more casual/lighter but still a pretty party dress.
I usually buy dresses from Old Navy, but those aren't really the style I'm going for for the E-Party. I also don't want anything frumpish, I'm 23 (almost) and want to look 23!
TIA

Do you know if Torrid has any actual stores anywhere on the island? I'd rather try it on than order online if possible.

Torrid.
ITA Torrid has some really cute clothes!! In college, I was always kinda sad b/c my friends could shop there and the clothes were just a little too big for me. (Super annoying since the reg. women's/junior clothes were too small)..there was no winning for me!

Thank you girls so much! It's nice to have a selection and not just be tied down to one store.

Torrid has a lot of great dresses but most of what you see online is not in the store.I just bought my shower dress from them online.
Avenue has some really great dresses too...again what is online is not in store.
This store just opened in woodbury. I have not been there yet but I liked some of the stuff on their site.

Re: Plus Sized Dresses
If you do order from Torrid online you get it pretty fast. And you can return it at the store if you need to.

Lane Byrant I just bought a cute halter dress from there sun. Estelle also has a great selection for plus sizes. Although I would not suggestion Estelles for bridal gown. I went their to try on dresses and they basically said i was fat and they didn't have much of anything for me. For bridal gowns I would suggest Lilettes in Baldwin or Burtons.

Re: Plus Sized Dresses
i'm not sure when you are looking for the eparty dress, but i was just at estelle's last week and they had a lot of prom looking stuff (i was looking for a dress for a wedding). it couldn't hurt to try though. you might also want to try lord and taylor - they sometimes have some good plus size stuff - i find it to be hit or miss, so that usually is a last resort.

I found a gorgeous Dress at Nordstroms.com and it was on sale. It is a Maggie London. Unfortunatly because I fractured my ankle I wasn't able to wear it but it is definitley waiting for it'd night out.
