Any suggestions other than Queen of Hearts in Massapequa (already went there) and David's Bridal?
Mom is an 18 and having problems. She found a nice Alfred Angelo dress online, but her local Nassau County shops don't carry MOB Alfred Angelo for some reason.

Did she ever think of trying some of the department stores?? I was just in Macy's and they had quite a few. It never hurts to look outside of the bridal shops, sometimes you can get lucky

try My Daughters Wedding in Great Neck. Great selection and the service was awesome. My mom is plus size and she loved it there. Prices are reasonable also

My mom got hers at Totally You in Bellmore. It's on Merrick Road. They have a nice selection.
The department stores we went to (Macys, Bloomingdales, Nordstroms) don't really carry too many plus size dresses in the store, if any. They do have a nice selection online though, if your mom isn't opposed to ordering and returning. good luck!

Thanks Ladies! She's all about having her dress made now. I'm not a fan of that idea - seems risky.

My mom is also a size 18. We are going next Saturday to My Daughter's Wedding in Great Neck & we are also going to Macy's in Manhasset as well.
