has anyone been to the Pricscilla of Boston on 40th in the city? We have an appt to go look at BMs dresses there tomorrow.
i've been having a REALLY hard time finding dresses that would look good on my bridesmaids and i feel like i need to expand the search. i wanted to find something less than 150$ but nothing has looked that great. there are a few at POB that i LOVE, but i've heard they start around 200$$.
any chance the place in the city will include alterations? i did buy a wedding dress at their sample sale in roslyn, if that matters.
i guess this turned into more of a rant. i'm just really getting frustrated with the whole process. i HATE that my BM's can't try anything on. these store really should carry multiple sizes...

Re: POB Bridesmaid dresses
I think POB bridesmaids dresses are more on the expensive end, and I doubt they will do much bargaining. If you are going into the city to look, check out RK bridal, they have the hugest selection of bridesmaids dresses I've seen.

If you are dead set on POB dresses, and want alterations included, check out Carina Boutique in whitestone, ny. The dresses in my album came to 270+tax, with alterations included.

Re: POB Bridesmaid dresses
I am getting my dresses from the POB in the city. The only discount you get is if you bought your gwon from them.....then you get 15% off.
THe Vineyard dresses are 198 for the long and less for short ones. The Melissa Sweet are 250 for the short and not sure about the long and I don't know about the POB BM dresses.
I also didnt want to spend more than 150 for the dresses but I looked at all the typical designers and the nicer ones were over 200 and in my opinion looked cheap and horrible on. THey looked like they would fall apart half way through the day. Some of the POB BM dresses can be worn again where most BM dresses can't.

Re: POB Bridesmaid dresses
i know that they might seem like they look cheap but, you really have to think about asking them to spend that much on a dress you wear once. Even though you think you can wear it again...you dont. I used waters & watters dresses for my girls and I was in a few bridal parties where I wore them and they were very flattering on all body types. I got them for a discount at RK Bridal.
