Pocket Invitation Postage Price

My mom just went to the post office with my sample pocket invitation and the lady behind the counter said that since the envelope was not bendable, it would be charged a parcel package rate and not a first class envelope rate... so it comes out to about $1.77 for 2.4 ounces...

has anyone else heard this about mailing their pocket invites in normal 5X7 envelopes??

Just want to make sure I'm not over paying before I mail them out next month.

i had 5x7 pockes invited & mine were .64 cents to mail! i would definitely try another post office.

are there any heavy embellishments on them? mine only had a small rhinestone.

I have 3 small rhinestones and they are not that big.. I just thought that it was a little crazy so I wanted to see what you LIW girls think,

I would estimate about a $1.50 so that way you can be pleasantly surprised if it is less.

I would also post on the 2011 boards since alot of those girls have already been married and might be able to give you a more realistic number.
