Re: Pocketfold Help

I bought black linen paper 11x17, from Neenah Paper. ($45)
Then we cut them into the size that we needed the pocketfolds. ($29 for the paper cutter)

Which was 6x17. We took an exacto knife and cut inverted triangles at the bottom, no more than 2 inches. We folded that piece over, used double sided glue tape and that became the pocket.

Went to MIchaels and bought cardstock, light yellow, white and I think a taupe. ($10) We cut the yellow card stock and mounted it on the black linen paper.

Then i found a printer who did Black ink on white paper in a 5x5 card she did 150 invites for about $35. It took her a couple of times to get it right, but she let me keep the extras. We are mounting that card onto the yellow cardstock invites.

We bought more white cardstock and will print the insert cards. I am still playing with the sizes-I have a 1/4 of leeway. Also, I am not sure if I like the thickness of the cardstock, I might purchase cover stock which is supposed to be thicker.

I bought light yellow ribbon to wrap them with. ($5)
I have to buy RSVP envelopes and envelopes to mail the pocketfold. (I am budgeting $45-60 envelopemall has a ton of choices) Our invites are 6x6 in size when folded and envelopes will be 6.5' x6.5'

Bought tracing paper at Michael's (love that 40% coupon) It was like 6 bucks. Printed the picture on that.

I have a ton of linen paper leftover, I miscalculated and ordered too much. I will use them for place cards and programs.

I figure we spent about 200 depending on the envelopes. I am sure we will spend at least 100 on postage, maybe even 150.(97cents for the envelope and 41 for the RSVP) which i am not too happy about....

my invites are in my album. (the insert cards are paper not cardstock):
