Pocketfold Invites- Inner Envelope Help

So our invitations are in .. yeaaay. =)

We have pocketfold invitations which came with two sets of envleopes.. lined inner envelopes and outter envelopes . We felt like we didnt need inner envelopes for pocket fold invitation so we had asked if we could skip inner envelopes and just line the outter envelopes, and they said no.

Here are my questions:

1. what is the purpose of inner envelopes in general?

2. Has anyone else used an inner envelope for pocket fold invitations?

3. Do you have to print names on the inner envelope if you have one or can you leave them blank?

we are not using the inner evelope! i think its pointless really.
i have seen where the inner evelope is left blank

we didn't use the inner envelope for our pocketfolds... the site i ordered the paper from didn't even offer it... since the folder keeps everything together, it's not necessary
