Poconos

Ok - so Fh and I have not had any time with one another and I was thinking about surprising him with a little weekend get away! I was just looking up the Poconos website and and really thinking about booking a weekend there.

There are a couple of resorts. Have any of you ladies gone there....where should I stay.

TIA

FM Shanon and Steve, her sister stayed there and she gave me a recommendation once - I forget which resort but she said it was cute and romantic!!!

ETA: I just went to this website and I think the resort she told me about was Brookdale! HTH!

Re: Poconos

well Fh and i have been there many times bc he has a house there...We did stay twice at Skytop, once for x-mas and once for a company weekend getaway his job had. It is gorgeous and loved it but can be pretty pricey, first time his company paid for it and second time his family went there for x-mas and they paid so we got lucky.

But if you do go to the poconos, you have to eat at sycamore grill-GREAT FOOD!!! and the prices are great too.

There is also an outlet out there

My FH & I stayed at Caesars Pocono Palace Resort. It was great. They have different types of room you can pick from. I believe we stayed in the Champagne Towers by Cleopatra.

FH has a townhome in Tannersville, on Camelback Mountain. It is really fun there, in the winter they have about 33 trails open for skiing and boarding etc. and in the summer they turn the whole place into a water park - Camelbeach! Look into that.

FM me if you want more info - i got it

JUST IN case you are interested in skytop, its on 5,500 acres...the Inn is an old mansion, then further down are cottages, they have 2 bedrooms then theres also a lodge with nice rooms. The property has its own ski area, lake, and the property is gorgeous
