Re: Poconos
We have not been there, but a good friend of mine went for her HM and her 1 yr anniversary, because she was so pleased with the place. I have never anything bad. I know they have horseback riding, snow mobiling for winter months, the champagne room I have heard that they get all the HM'ers together for games and activities. Im sure you will have a blast on your HM

Re: Poconos
I went two years ago. I was at the Paradise Cove one. The room was really nice with the heart-shaped whirlpool tub, and the mirror on the ceiling above the bed . There was also a little living room too with a fireplace and whatnot. The only thing I didn't like is that when you ate your dinner which was included you had to eat at tables with other couples. And this is basically the only place you can eat everyday, there's really nowhere else to go. It was a relaxing break though. We went for 2 days.

I can't wait....everything sounds so nice!!! Suzanne can't wait to hear how it went for you Wow I thought you can eat in your room if you want privacy instead of eating with everyone else! I heard that champagne glass is really nice! Thanks for your help ladies!!!

Been to Cove Haven twice. Loved it both times, very romantic, especially the room we had the 2nd time - Garden of Eden Apple

Re: Poconos
I went to Cove Haven as well. We had a great time. We went to dinner at 6pm and requested a table alone. They have several of them, all you have to do is ask. We found that out the second night and did it every night after. They were very nice about it too.

Ooh! I'm excited to hear you can eat alone. I was thinking about doing that for a honeymoon. God that would be saving a lot of money since you can just drive there.

Re: Poconos
I have not been to Pocono Palace but I have been MANY times to Paradise Stream which is also one of the Ceasars Resorts. If you would like a 10% off coupon FMme your address & I will send you one. Since you booked already you can call them & ask if you can still use it but I believe you have to have it in hand when you check in.
We always have such a good time when we go. Sitting with other couples isn't bad at all. I enjoy Paradise Stream because it is smaller & much more intimate. Did you tell them it was your HM when you booked? You get some special things being HMers.
Let me know if you want the coupon.

Re: Poconos
we go every year and have stayed at all of the different resorts except for brookdale. we love it there. its kind of cheesy but in a good way. its so relaxing, there is always stuff to do, romantic, the rooms are great, they serve you breakfast in bed, and its definatly worth the money. you will have a great time!

Re: Poconos
We went to Cove Haven for our hm since we didnt want to fly at the time. I was put off about sitting with other couples but when we requested a table of our own, they were very accomodating. The food at cove haven was delicious. Especially the buffet nights..they were our favorite. One night they had a buffet of every food imaginable! The next night it was italian night so you had a choice of an entree but they had a buffet antipasto bar..which was out of this world!!!!
We ordered breakfast in bed twice and it wasnt that good. The breakfast buffets are absolutely awesome though!!!!! Didnt know that so much could be served for breakfast! We made sure to get up earlier every morning to go to that and then took a nap when we came back.
We liked it so much that we are going back for our one year anniversary in November. At first we were put off by the group activities but you do not have to do them. We opted to go off on our own and that was just fine!
