I wanted to put this poem on the first page of my program- do you think I have to ok it by the church?? (catholic ceremony)
Love is a temporary madness It erupts like volcanoes and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part, because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of eternal passion. That is just being “in love” which any fool can do. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Those that truly love have roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches, they find they are one tree and not two

Re: POem
I am not catholic so I am not sure... I dont see why you should need permission, will they be reviewing your program... If so, maybe you can give them a sample program to look over to see if there is anything you should add or what ever... see if they say anything?!?!

Re: POem
Beautiful!
You shouldn't have to; I had a poem on the front of mine and I didn't ask, nor did the church comment:
To love a person is to know the song in their heart and sing it to them when they have forgotten--unknown
