Re: bridal reflections

For what its worth, I had to pay for my $30 blusher and the charge for my bustle is on top of whatever alterations I get ($295 cap on alterations).

I'm getting my dress at Lillette's...I ordered my veil/blusher there too and I'm getting my BM's dresses there...I haven't gotten any favors or anything.

Lillettes should have given you 10% off your bm's dresses for ordering your gown there. I hope they did, otherwise i'd complain

Oh they totally did, just making a point that I don't think salons really throw in freebies even if you are giving them a lot of business. I've never heard of this practice before.

I got a free slip, veil, and alterations, and headpiece...the only thing I had to pay for was the bustle (that was $200) Plus I ordered the bm dresses from there and the girls are getting 10% off and the alterations are only $25.

Sorry... I found them to be snobby and ungrateful when I went there too

Re: bridal reflections

I am so sorry that you are experiencing this. However, they do give you a discount on the BM dress, MOB and FMIL dresses and FG dresses once you purchase your wedding dress from there. I really didn't have any problems with them at all. The only thing I can say is go else where and get the blusher for cheaper. You maybe able to go to tri-county or go online and get it at a discounted price.
Don't be so upset, just always look for a plan B.

I'm sorry they're being stingy!!!

Re: bridal reflections

wow thats a little ridiculous, they threw in my veil (which was like retail for 300 i think) with my gown

Re: bridal reflections

I also ordered an Ines Di Santo gown from them, I negotiated alot on the price but didn't get anything thrown in either. I didn't order my veil through them b/c it was $1200....I went to Barrons and got it for $115.

They do charge for alterations and the bustle. To be honest, it really varies at different salons if you get anything, so girls get a veil for free and others don't. Sorry your annoyed.

seriously cancel it, i did find the veils very overpriced. i got a cathedral length with 1/8 satin trim. after my dress came in, i got a swatch and took it to Barron last week and he will match it identically.

Re: bridal reflections

I fully agree that they should have thrown in the blusher on an Ines veil. That's just bad business. Especially if you bought your gown as well! I'm in retail (a GM) and freebies (like a freaking $50 retail blusher) are given out, even in the bridal world. You have to remember, that blusher wholesales for probably $15. This girl's Ines veil was probably anywhere from $1,000-$2,000! Even if it was $500 they should have thrown in the blusher for her. Ludicrous. I would call them and give them a piece of my mind. Good luck OP!
