The poisony ivy infection will wear off on its own, just apply some chalomine lotion - no need to kill yourselves, though yes, that too would stop the itching.

Michele31 just had it removed from her yard professionally so you might want to FM for her guy.

My father has always done it with amonia on the roots and its worked...but if you are very allergic, it might be better to pay someone else.

Re: POISON IVY

We sprayed our poison ivy with Round Up and it seems to have taken care of it. Round Up won't hurt pets or wildlife - you spray it on the leaves and it enters into the leaves and goes down to the roots I think.

There is a company on LI that specializes in the clean-up of Poison Ivy too I think. I remember seeing one of those signs on the LIE in Suffolk that sponsor the clean up of a section of highway and it was a Poison Ivy Removal company.

Here's a link I was able to find
Poison Ivy Removal

It's got a lot of poison ivy info.

Thanks for that link. I will call them tomorrow. FH is feeling better, got on some steroids that is helping him clear up. When I meant he was blistered everyone, I meant it. I never seen anything so bad and I am RN. So hopefully we get this off the property and we keep our dogs out of the woods. The MD told us that is where he got it from; the coat of the dogs- they carry the oils on them.
