Re: Police discount...
A couple I know got married at John Anthony's in 2003 and they said they got a discount because they were both EMTs. They hadn't even thought of it, but happened to be wearing their work jackets the night they went.
Re: Police discount...
I'm going to post this in the vendor section, maybe we will get a reply there.

Re: Police discount...
We never asked for the discount, but during conversations when banquet managers asked what we did, several of them offered us a 'law eforcement discount' about $5.00 a head. they also were great about throwing in upgrades - extra stations at the cocktail hour, pastry and cookie platters for each table, etc. We also got a discount with the limo company - I think that was because the owner's father was retired NYPD. IT PAYS TO BE A PUBLIC SERVANT!
Re: Police discount...
When my sister was looking at halls - her and her FI ( now DH) and he just happened to be wearing his FDNY jacket.. as soon as the banquet manager noticed he was offering to take a little off and throw in lots of extras... but it was also only a few months after 9/11
Re: Police discount...
I would love to know which vendors do this. My FI is Navy, my dad is NYPD and my FFIL is FDNY. I'll take any discount I can get.
