Re: Police test
I took it a LONG time ago with DH! LOL Wasn't hard at all... very much common sense. Just remember that everything revolves around who, what, where , when, and why. And I remember there was a portion of the test that deals with the memory. They show you a picture and you have to try to remember everything about it.. pay close attention to details. I think you have 5 minutes to study it before they pull it from you. I did very well on it, but decided it just wasn't something I would want to commit to forever being that DH was pursuing it.

Re: Police test
FH took the suffolk test about six months ago and just found out he got a 90. He took the Nassau test about a year ago and hasn't gottem scores yet.

My BIL took the test and did really, really well. My sister is hoping that he makes it in the first class!

Re: Police test
Silly question-how do you know when the test dates are? Is there a website or anything?

Re: Police test
My hubby has the Psychological Test next...I think the written one.
Stupid question but DH has to do an EKG again and they don't say what was wrong with the first one. What exactly are they looking for?

Re: Police test
Latina, The EKG test could have been off when he took it the first time, but a lot of things can throw it off. Tell him not to move or talk during the test (the person taking the EKG should ensure this, but sometimes they get lazy), tell him NOT to smoke or drink any caffiene before the test. There have been a lot of times that I have seen where the person has an abnormal EKG done at the doctors office and then when they get to the ER 15 minutes later its fine.
Good luck to all with the rest of the process!

Re: Police test
Thanks!!! Can it be possible also because he takes pills to work out that have ephedra? Should he stop taking them for a while until he gets his EKG done again. I know all in all they are not good for you but can this affect the results alot.
Thanks sooo much for your help.

Re: Police test
ABSOLUTELY!!!!
Those pills are dangerous!!! Tell him not to take those pills anymore and to throw them in the garbage NOW! If he is having EKG changes because of these pills, than that is VERY dangerous. That is why some people have heart attacks when they take these pills. He can do it without them, although it may be a little more difficult.
Good luck to your hubby, I am sure he will get through this and land that job!
