I always love to debate. I respect peoples' opinions. I really do. But that girl that kept arguing with me had nothing to back up her statements. I prefer arguing with Amber because she is smart!

Everyone has a right to what they think. If someone likes McCain then thats there choice and the same for obama..
i dont understand why its always a argument thats why i stay out of these convos they get to heated and i get to annoyed... errr lol

with all due respect, Jenny, while your picture did make me laugh, i'm not willing to entertain the politics taboo. it must be nice for the powers that be who make decisions that are bad for us, the middle class, because it's socially unacceptable to talk about poltics in most situations. I agree that it's annoying when people start mud-slinging, but i don't think the solution is to dismiss politics as a subject.

we SHOULD talk about it but do it with common courtesy and an open-mind. the below-the-belt stuff is what makes this topic obnoxious.

Wow... There is another heated debate on the '08 boards about Sarah Palin! I have so much to say and I really want to get involved but I am afraid of getting yelled at!

I agree, i think its sad that it has to get so ugly when debating politics. There is no reason for it to get that way. Just defend your opinion with facts and thats it, no need to name call.

Its sad also because there are many things somebody can learn. Somebody might have info that someone else doesn't, and you can always learn something. It might also help someone with their choice on who to vote for if they know more about a candidate and their issues.

Hey I can't seem to find the post you are referring to Michelle, can you link it for me? I really want to read it and educate myself from both perspectives. I am a democratic and truly feel there is a need for change in this country and I would like to learn as much as I can from someone more well versed in the topic than I am! TIA!

It wasnt towards politics, it was towards the people who cant handle DISCUSSING politics.
Thats what i meant. No harm. I can discuss politics with friends for hours and there are no nasty name calling etc.

Oh and PS: 'with all due respect, Jenny, while your picture did make me laugh' That was going to be my point. To make those who make sense laugh and laugh at those who can't handle it.
