ok girls with 4 months until my big day i have been debating the entire CH thing.. i dont want to miss out on anything since its costing us a pretty penny .. but then again i like the feel of everyones suspense to see us when we get announced as we enter the reception room .since not everyone will be able to make it to the church . so here is the poll ''' will you be attending your CH hour'

We're not going to be attending our cocktail hour...at the Estate at East Wind you can kind of see into the CH room in the bridal suite which has their own little CH so I feel like I will be a part of the CH hour and we'll also get to enjoy the food. I also want that nice suspense of seeing us as we are introduced.

I am not attending the CH. I am gonna be traditional, and use the CH as my time to 'relax' in the bridal suite. I also want to have the grand entrance when we are announced.

I am seeing FH before the Ceremony and we are attending our CH.
IMO, I don't want to miss a second of that day. It goes by just way too fast.

The last two weddings I went to the bride and groom made an apperance. They still made their grand entrance later. We are so making it to the CH. To us its the best part of a wedding.

yes, we are attending out cocktail hour so that we can get all of our hi's in and greet everyone...then we'll go into the other room about 15 minutes before the reception starts, and then we'll be introduced...we're still gonna get a big crowd clapping when we walk in.
We just don't want to have to be tied to making the rounds during the reception, we want to have fun.

we will NOT be at CH for the first 15 minutes, then the following 1/2 hour we WILL be there, and the last 15 minutes of it we will not be there...
most the people at the RH will have seen me at church anyway

Suspense, Shushmense.
I think its silly to think you are keeping everyone 'in suspsense' by not going to your CH. They've seen you, theyve seen what you are wearing, they just watched you get married. Enjoy the food and SOCIALIZE! People are coming to this because they love YOU and want to be part of YOUR special day... not because they want their hearts pounding rapidly in suspense to see you walk in to the reception.

That's exaclty how I feel!! If I can get some of the HELLOS out of the way then, AWESOME!! We will disappear for a little while and then magically appear at the reception

yup same here. we're having an amazing grand entrance with our DJ's light show, so i know that it won't take away from anything if we attend the CH

At first I was not going to attend but FH and I discussed and we changed our minds for 2 reasons: 1 - the amount of people at our wedding (324 invitees!!!) 2- Time between Church and CH
We might have a lot of time between the church and CH so we will have already 'relaxed', plus we can get saying hello to some of our guests out of the way so we can PARTY during the reception and not spend all night going from table to table to talk!!!!
We plan on PARTYING LIKE ROCK STARS at our reception and I am going to dance ALL night!!!
