Poll

Re: Poll

I've done all the planning myself, and might I say, a very good job at that. I'll continue doing my own planning and DOC duties...I'll just assign someone else for that day to handle the little details.

ive done all the planning myself but on the day of we will have a DOC. but only b/c it is a family friend, otherwise i wouldnt have been able to afford one. but i must say, she was the DOC at my sisters wedding and when we realized we were short a boquet as we were walking into the church she pulled tools out of her bag and made one from flowers in the other boquets. took her 3 min flat and she saved the day!

I did all of the planning myself, but hired a DOC for three hours on the day of. She's awesome. She is going to oversee the reception site, contact vendors, distribute tips and all of the other little things...

I desperately tried to convince FH that I NEEDED to have a DOC and he just doesn't get it. I am a total control freak when it comes to planning things, very @nal at times but in the end I always pull it off and everything turns out better than expected. The day of I just didn't want to have to worry about stuff that someone else could handle for me. I want to be worry free that day. I explained to him that if we did get a DOC that in the end he'll be very happy because if I'm stressed then he's gonna be stressed, it's so worth the money if you have it.

I have a DOC, but I'm doing all the planning myself. I'm planning on a lot of little details and the day of I want myself , my mom, my cousin, etc, to enjoy ourselves not worrying about executing all the details.
Another reason I hired a DOC is that my RH has multiple events and I feel like my details can easily fall through the cracks.

I've done all the planning myself and held it down pretty well. I thought about getting a DOC for the day of but the banquet manager is going to be there and take care of everything for us. I think if I were having the reception somewhere where there is more than one wedding going on, I think I would have gotten a DOC. But we are lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves.

I planned and executed my entire wedding, with all the details and trimmings, all by myself, in just 6 months.

Really, you're just hiring a bunch of vendors to do all the work for you. THe hardest part is all in the details, which really only the bride can do.

I cannot imagine having had help. I had nobody help me do ANYTHING...and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
I like things done MY WAY.....especially when they are so personal.

I will say though....that my wedding was under 100 people. I can understand why larger weddings need some help.
