Poll: After you get married..

Just wondering if you think you'll still celebrate your old anniversary. It's going to be strange not to.

I was thinking the same thing! I'll be so sad to let go of April 8th! We've had that date for almost 11 years by the time we get married!

yes were going to!!! we have 3 different ones and their each a reason to celebrate... our dating ann. our Engagement Ann. and our Wedding ann!

I am sentimental like that.

We even celebrate our anniversary of moving in together - nothing major, no cards/gifts, etc. We just go to a restaurant in our neighborhood.

And since we got engaged on our dating anniversary, we will def still celebrate it.

I like to do little things, like cook a special dinner or share a bottle of wine, it doesn't have to be a big to-do..

Of course if FH wants to buy me gifts, that would be ok too

This is another thing im weird about. We never really celebrated our anniversary to begin with other than saying 'happy anniversary babe'. LOL! So it definitely wont be hard to let that go.

I wont be the same way for our wedding anniversary though. I cant wait to celebrate year after year after year!!

#1 sept 11 (when we officially started dating, but since 9-11 we do not celebrate on this day)

#2 july 5- when we got back together, which is a happy day

#3 october 12 , 2008 - i think we will celebrate this only, plus FH birthday is sept 10 so he runs me broke anyway!

It's gonna be hard for me to give up our original anniversary date... but I think it's necessary...having to remember all of those dates might make it too confusing...and i'm worried it will take away from the meaning of our
anniversary...

Nov 22: our wedding anniversary

Talk about going broke and with Xmas only a month away!

i hear that! Thats funny my birthday is November 23, my dad is November 22, and my great grandmothers was Nov 21...Its good when your birthday is on thanksgiving everyone has to remember!

We won't make a big to do out of it out now since we'll have a new anniversary, but it's still a special day for us.

we celebrate every 28th...and our wedding date is the 26th so itll be close enough...i think we'll always remember it but i guess the new wedding date will be replacing the dating anniversary because now gina will have it and its the day after my bday

we havent celebrated any anniversaries in 6 years, in fact we dont really have an official date, i just know we got together in oct/nov-ish, lol. i will def. celebrate the wedding anniversary!

we will definitely celebrate both!

Our dating anniversary is Jan 16 so if we go away for our wedding anniversary we will also be away for that day!! and i LOVE that date we were trying to get married on that date BUT we would have had to wait until 2010

in a way jan 16 will always be more important to me bc its the day he asked me out - jan 12 ( IMO) is just a date we picked.
