Poll: Are chaircovers worth the money?

Poll: Are chaircovers worth the money?

We are having a sort of argument with FH. He says that at $3 per chair we can do without. I really like the look of the room when chairs are covered. what do you think.

It depends on what condition they are in and what kind of chairs they are..

I haev the option of either or and I'm probably using them.

Go look at the chairs at your hall... if they look fine then I wouldn't worry about them. Personally I think they are annoying and a waste of money... they NEVER stay still, my feet always get caught in them... And sometimes even they can look sloppy. This is just my opinion.

If your FH is worried about $3 per chair then I'd avoid an argument and use that money towards something else.

And also, I never notice them until something annoys me about them...

I really wanted chair covers, but the place my hall uses charges $6.50 per chair - too much.

If I could get them for $3 a chair I might reconsider- is that your hall's price?

Fh does not think they are worth it !!!!

I think they are worth it. $3 a chair is good compared to my hall - - they want $9 a chair!

A hall I am considering charges $3 per chair, so we were going to budget it in when comparing it to another hall. I guess I am just going to check out the conditions the chairs are in when we'll book the hall. thanks for your input.

IMO - They are not worth it. The only pictures I have ever noticed them in are pictures of the reception room before everyone comes in. I agree with the other poster about them being a pain and slipping around or getting caught up on things.

The only exception would make is if the chairs are in bad condition. If that is the case I would try to get the hall pick the cost entirely. l

I think they LOOK great, when no one is in the hall. Once people are at their tables, you don't notice them one way or the other. At $3 per chair, you can do a lot of other things with that money. But it's your wedding... if it's worth it for you, then go for it.

I heard that chair covers are a pain in the butt. They are very slippery and people I know can't stand to sit on them. They look nice when you first walk in but that is about it. NOT WORTH IT!!

Maybe you can have your hall give it to you for free. When we signed our contract we had a choice of either ice sculpture or chair covers, we choose the chair covers. Our hall was the Floral Terrace. We ended up getting the sculpture for free when we went for our finals.

We are paying a little more money than the $3.00. (Bow was extra) but I loved the way it looked. I am only doing this once so no regrets....

Depends on the room and the chairs. If you really like it, agree to cut costs somewhere else...I didn't do it but I didn't really care either way. If it's important to you, agree to find cheaper invites or something if possible....

I had the chair covers for my wedding. Although they did look nice, I probably would not have spent the extra money since the hall's chairs would have been equally as lovely without them. If the condition of the chairs bother you, then get the covers. If not, use the money for something else.

hope this helps :)

Absolutely!!! We had chair covers for our e-party and it totally changed the look of the room. IMO I think it makes a very elegant and more complete look.

If the chairs in the hall are in such a pattern where they will clash with the hall or with your BP colors, then I would cover them b/c it will stand out in your pictures (especially if you have your bridal party sitting at a dias with B&G).

I love chair covers! I actually never heard of getting them so cheap (does that include set-up and removal- I know a lot of places rent them but you have to set them up on your own and return them after the wedding). I think it looks so elegant. I have never been to an affair that actually had them so I can't say what it looks like with guests, or how it feels to actually sit on covered chairs, but i think they are awesome looking and would love to do them too!

I say save your money. I opted not to have them at my wedding and it was spectacular without them, trust me! Save your $$$$ and put it towards the HM!! Where is your reception anyway?

our hall is only 2.50 a chair.. however FI feels that it looks like 'ghosts' so we will not be using them..
