I'm assuming you Ladies smoke cigarettes.. pipes are probably not your thing. But I'm guessing. Lord knows.. I could be wrong.

Same thing goes for cigars.

Then again.. I could be wrong once again.

Guaranteed my FH is a bigger Mets fan than you are. And we were 'worried' about this too.
But I think the season will be over by the time we go on our honeymoon.
Hell, the season's probably already over for them!

I am addicted to second hand smoke. My mother quit last year for 6 months and I was having withdrawal. When my friends would go out for a cig break I would follow just to breath it in! It was bad!

The best part was they beat the Braves when we were down at the game.
That stadium is sooo awesome...And it ROCKED that the Mets beat the Braves.
There were alot of Mets fans down there at the time. It was soo cool.

Finally, something we agree upon OctG! Most Yankee fans hate the Braves as much as Mets fans do .. probably the only time I'll root for the Mets is when they are playing the Braves .. otherwise, no way.

In our case we were always having a summer wedding anyhow .. but there would be no way we'd risk an October wedding due to the 'baseball' conflict between us. My cousin got married in Oct the year the Yankees were playing the Braves in the WS and they actually brought a TV into her reception at some point so noone missed any of game 5!

Since FH & I root for diff teams, we'd be at odds on a HM when the Yankees wind up in the WS again ...not a good way to start off our marraige, I figured

I crave one about once every 3 months - sometimes I indulge if I can bum one and FI isn't around, sometimes I don't. When I was in my late teens/early 20's I used to smoke about 2-3 a day several days a week.

Oh believe me it pissed off my cuz also .. she hates baseball, and its all anyone could talk about .. even the D.J kept giving updates and scores, really BAD (I'm a baseball fan and even I thought it was over the top..)

I was bound to be a smoker. Mom & Dad both smoked. Brother and I were smoking Camels by the time I as 12.

I smoked through college then it got expensive. I just thought it was stupid to waste cash I wanted to spend on other stuff.

THEN i realized how hard it was to quit. It was off and on for a long time. I used to say I only bum off cigarettes in social settings, then I 'just' kept a pack in my car for stress. Blah

This was before the affordable patch. I tried the water gig (I hate water) and the gum chewing thing which aggrivated my TMJ. It got annoying. My clothes smelt like an ashtray and my hair stunk. I'd say I started to quit smoking back in 1997. I finally quit back on March 17th 2000. It was the last day I had a cigarette because I just wanted one.

I smoked half a pack of MENTHOLS (eww) on 9/11 but I don't hold that against me. The guys I was with were shocked that I KNEW how to smoke.. LOL

Still I can taste nicotine on the tip of my tongue when Im around a smoker. It's my own indulgence if you will. I lived with two chain smokers in Queens and marveled at how black or dingy things became in the house from smoke.

But officially I am smoke free. Im sure I'd get buzzed if I had a drag of a cig. heh

BASEBALL:
Im a girl who was born in Houston, but never really followed the Astros, thought Nolan Ryan was awesome, and assumed that the Yankees always made the playoffs. Then I moved to NYC

Now (mostly due to Jim) I suffer along with him watching the Yankees in their rollercoaster seasons. So Im a Yankee fan in Training.

bleeech no. I skeeve even touching cigarettes. My GF's would ask me to hold their cigs for some stupid reason I would look at them like uhhh yea right. The smell of tobacco make me queasy

I smoke, but deep down inside I want to quit, but am not sure if I am ready for that yet. I think I am going to try right before I move into the city this summer..I am not paying $7 a pack for that!

I quit smoking 3 months ago. I was 24 before I ever started and had always hated cig. smoke, but when I moved to NYC and did not know anyone I found it to be a social tool. Well, it went from social tool to habit. I had tried to quit before, but woke up 3 months ago and really thought about what I was doing to myself. I have not had one since. No patch, no gum, just will power. Alot of people have said that I will start again(nice huh!), but I really don't get cravings anymore. I think it was just a phase for me.
