I said I wanted to wait a day FH says he wants to go away the next day. Hes always wanted it like this. I waant to spend time with my OTG and Family. We just had a fight about this. I said fine ill go away the next night and I dont want to hear how u are tired how u dont feel good not one complaint!!!!

We waited a day and I HIGHLY recommend it. I spoke to one of my friends who left the day after and said her and her hubby had a HUGE fight b/c everything was rushed and confused. We got married on Friday and left Sunday. It gave us Sat to finish packing, clean up the apt (what a mess of all the things brought back from reception) and visit with my brothers and sister before they left (from out of town) I would have even like to have waited 2 days!!

Our wedding was SUnday and we wanted to leave on Tuesday, but we would ahve returned on Saturday at 5:00pm, and we wanted to ahve the3 weekend to adjust to the time zome, so we decided to leave on Monday instead, so we would come home on Friday.

We are waiting a day for a couple of reasons. One, the next day is the fourth of July and we want to have a bbq. But we also want to keep some sanity and leave enough time to get ourselves together.

We got married on Friday and left on Sunday. Best decision we made!!!!!!!!!!1

We are leaving when we are ready. We are driving cross country, so we figure when we are ready we will hop in the car and go. I would like to wait til early Monday morning to leave so I can spend time with family on Sunday, but we are going to play it by ear with the weather and everything. FH wants to leave Sunday, but I know he is going to be too tired so I voted for wait a day.

We wanted to wait a day. Our cruise leaves the day after our wedding. I think we'll be ok because it leaves out of NY.

I can see both sides.
Go next day, while you're still on your high from the wedding (though probably really exhuasted too).
OR Wait a day and chill, re-group then head off.
If it's not THAT important to you but is to him, you may just want to go his way this time. One thing I've learn having been married for almost 2 months, need to pick our battles.
Either way, you will still be married and still enjoy your honeymoon.

I have not gotten that far yet, buy ideally I want to leave 1 day later. Sleep in, relax, say good bye to family, get things in order and leave tuesday (after sunday wedding)

We are going the next morning. Our reception ends at 5pm so we have time to relax

We waited a day later because we had planned a Post-Wedding Party at MIL's house. The Post-Wedding Party was the day after our wedding. After the Post-Wedding Party the next day we left to Paris, France for our HM. It was worth the wait because we were physically exhausted with all the work in the planning and preparations involved we still did not pack or have last minute arrangements. We end up packing the day of our HM departure since it was an evening flight.
