we are having both just think its easier to have one in charge of teh music and one speaking thats all.

We are having both We dont want him talking all night but its just to get the crowd going.... plus he speaks italian and will need too for some of the songs/ requests etc. - he knows how to do all the dances lol

The DJ i am having at my wedding is usually the emcee for most parties his company does. So its like I am getting the best of both worlds. I am not paying an extra fee for an emcee... but my DJ has all the 'emcee' natural skills. I have a small party so i can get away with this.
The only thing the emcee is really good for is crowd participation and a good voice (like for introducing the wedding party).

Just a DJ - we just want music and the normal announcements, which our DJ assured us one DJ can do.
FH and I arent into the prodding MCs that scream at people to getup and dance...

I have worked many weddings and just from what I have seen, I think that the MC is a great thing to have if you can fit it into your budget. Your guests will still have fun without him but they will really get everyone on the dance floor and your guests will have that much more fun.

Just the DJ...we want it low-key w/minimal announcements and we have a lot of friends coming who have no problem getting up and dancing.
