Poll: Are you/did you have a Grooms cake at you RD?
FH and I are debating whether we want to do this and spend the money. Just curious if its a really popular thing to do or really not that common ??

I'm pretty sure I'm going to have one. I thought it would be a nice way to incorporate something FH likes into our event and make him feel special

we are not doing a grooms cake.. we felt it wasnt necessary.

we are not doing it either, ive never seen this at any other wedding i attended either, its more of a matter of personal prefarance.

I never talked to FH about it bc its a surprise for him, I just pulled our baker aside and said id email him about it if i wanted to have them make one for him. and i think i will. but it will be at the wedding, not RD and it will be for him and BP to take home and enjoy. not positive yet.

If we do, I think it would be his Grandmother's cheesecake, it is his all time favorite dessert.

I am having a Guinness cake for FH. It's a suprise!! He loves Guinness and we are going to Ireland for our HM. I'm so excited!

We are doing one only because FH's aunt wanted to make one, so I thought it would be something special for him since he is whining I get a shower and bachelorette party, I will make him feel like it is his little party because he will have a cake made just for him.

I am doing an x-box cake for my FH... he deserves something specials since he has to put up with me for the rest of his life.. hehehe.

Not only are we not having one but we have never been to a wedding that did. If you are torn I would say that it is not a must but a nice to have and no one will notice if you don't have one.

I have no idea how the RD restaurant is going to cut it!! But the one that I am getting will be smaller since it is only for 40-50 people! It's going to be chocolate cake with cream cheese mousse filling! Yummy!
