Hi Ladies, I'm having some trouble making this decision - the last piece of the bm gifts. So far I've gotten them 'bridesmaid' wine and a pair of freshwater pearl earrings. I wanted to get them a tote bag to put them in, but the only ones I really like and have had in mind are kind of expensive. It would be the last piece of the gift.
OR
I could just give all the girls a gc to put toward having their hair/makeup done since they are all pretty much going to the same salon. This would be 1/2 the cost of the tote.
Which would you prefer as a bm?
Longchamp tote or Gift Certificate?
ETA: I just want it to be something they'll use / appreciate . . . it's not really about the $$

Honestly, I'd go with the tote. I feel that paying for their hair/makeup is more of a gift to yourself not to them, because they're doing it for YOUR wedding.

I agree and disagree.... although it is for your wedding. It is saving them the money of doing it on their own.
I think it depends on the types of girls in your BP. Do they want their hair and make up done? Are asking them too get it done? Like for instance I LOVE a make-over so for me it would be a gift. Only bc I truely enjoy it. If it isn't their cup of tea then go with the tote so it is something they can use in the future

i feel that when being asked to be a BM you are aware of the expenses that arrise & i personally feel that hair & makeup are those type of expenses.

honestly, i rarely use tote bags (or if i do, i use something i already have) ... i think the GC to get their hair/makeup done would make me happier if i was a BM since it means i get to save money
plus, it saves you money

I love the tote idea! I was gifted a tote once as a bridesmaid gift and use it all the time!!!

I'm not making my girls have their hair or m/u done, but I know they are, so I thought I could at least try to help defray some of their costs. One of my bms is in FOUR weddings in THREE months. Can you even believe that??
Looks like the tote would be a hit though . . .
