I was thinking of having my BM's wear the same shoes as I am, but in a different color...

I just told them to buy silver sandals, so they will be all different.

Re: POLL: Bridesmaid Shoes
I refuse to make my BMs wear the same shoes as me or each other. I have issues with my feet that do not permit me to wear high heeled or narrow shoes. Some prefer high and some prefer low. If a bride ever made me wear a show that made me uncomfy, I would be incredibly disappointed in her. The only request that I made of my BP was a closed toe dyeable. I am getting married in the winter and open toe is a no-no

Re: POLL: Bridesmaid Shoes
I let them pick out what was most comfortable for them! They all had to be matching color.. I said white b/c it still looked good, you didn't see them anyway, they didn't need to be dyable shoes and didn't need to be dyed..
I think it saved everyone a lot of grief.

Re: POLL: Bridesmaid Shoes
I am telling the girls to wear whatever shoes they want in silver. As long as they are happy I don't care.
I would only ask them to wear similar shoes if the dresses were tea length but still not identical shoes.

Re: POLL: Bridesmaid Shoes
All my girls picked out their own shoes but they will be dyed the same color. I felt that even though a shoe might be comfortable to me it might not be to any one else in my bridal party plus i have a shorter girl who likes to wear higher heals. I just wanted everyone to be comfortable. The only way I would maybe do the same shoes for all the girls is if the bm dress was tea length

Re: POLL: Bridesmaid Shoes
honestly i think it's cheesy when everyone looks exactly the same--same jewelry, shoes, hair, etc...or any combination of those.
i will let them pick out their own silver shoes. no dyeables because if it rains the color will run.
i can only wear low heels and if someone made me wear certain shoes i would be pissed.

Re: POLL: Bridesmaid Shoes
They are wearing tea length gowns so they will probably be getting matching shoes. Actually 4 of the 5 girls already picked out a matching shoe they all like - so I don't think it will be a problem (very low heel, flip flop strap with rhinestones - very low key and simple).
Mine will most likely be different....probably have a bit higher heel

I never thought of that but it is a great idea. We are all getting ready inside and everything else is inside too. If weather permits (i.e. no snow/sleet/slush on the ground) then we may sneak outside for one or two pictures, but this isn't typically done in my family with Temple functions.

Re: POLL: Bridesmaid Shoes
I told them to get whatever they like, as long as they were open-toed--which was no problem with them.
I know two of my BM's got the same shoe, b/c they went together, everyone else will be a bit different, which is fine w/ me.

They in fact did have different shoes, dresses and hairstyles and all looked very much like they were in my BP and it saved a lot of drama.

Re: POLL: Bridesmaid Shoes
All I ask is that they be comfortable. I could not imagine telling them what shoes to wear...
ummm...I should say... The skirts are so long that shoes will not really show at all. I do think if they wore cocktail length dresses, etc they should match or be somewhat similar.
whew....

Re: POLL: Bridesmaid Shoes
They are wearing different shoes. I requested a closed toe dyeable shoe - I left the heel height or lack there of up to them as well as style (backless, strapy, whatever). So long as they are comfortable, I am all good. They are also doing what ever makes them happy with their hair and makeup, but they all got the same pink chiffon dress.

Did this too!! Funny thing was my sister/BM bought the same silver sandals as my mom, didn't matter but we laughed about it.
