it was a surprise...but we had been dating 4 1/2 years and living together for a year- i was ready to be engaged/married

I voted a little too soon only because, I feel like his career has been stomped on since we got engaged, I wish we had waited til he was on his feet more, but at the same time he really wants to be married. I just feel guilty, don't want him resenting me in the future.

perfect timing- he moved up his plan in order to ask me before I lost my Mom- he knew she really wanted us to get married- and she died knowing we were engaged- it was very unselfish and sweet

it meant a lot to my family that he did this- and has given us something positive to focus on during this hard time!

About time...we were together 7 years! (But to be fair to him, we started dating in HS, so we were still young) He wanted to start his career and be settled first, since I am still in grad. school.

We had been dating for a year and his company was going to transfer him to Los Angeles.
He asked me if I would move with him and I said I wouldn't move accross the country for a boyfriend.
He responded, how about for a husband?

So we now live in LA.

It was just right. We had talked about getting engaged but I was surprized.

I'd say a lil too soon, it was only after dating for 4 months and 2 days. Tho I knew he was the one, I had wanted to live together 1st. We had signed the lease but not moved in yet. But my mom wanted us to be engaged first so he respected her wishes.

after 2 years adnd 353 days of dating we got engaged. i think it was perfect timing for us

perfect timing. i didn't want to get married young and i didn't want to marry someone that i was just getting to know. we were dating a little less than 2 years, but we had met 6 years earlier.

WE DATED 3.5 YEARS- I WAS VERY READY 2 YEARS INTO IT SO I SAID ABOUT TIME

HOWEVER, FOR THE RECORD, IT WAS PERFECT BECAUSE WE WERE BOTH IH A GREAT POSITION FINANCIALLY WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED SO I GUESS I WAS ANXIOUS BUT IT ALL WORKED OUT
