FH and i will be throwing the party at our house....we're adding on so we thought it would be a great way to show off the new addition to the house and celebrate the engagement

I haven't decided whether I want an E party or not.

FH wants one but I hate being in the spotlight! It makes me nervous! I think the wedding day will be enough... we'll see

ETA: I don't HATE it... just not used to it.

my parents gave my sister 1 so i figured we get 1 as well......that didnt happen! But also im sure it has to do w the fact w dont live in NY any longer.
If we did i think we would of had something....kinda wish we did.

FFIL and his wife want to have one, at their house. FH and I are not to crazy about the idea though........Has anyone coined the phrase Future Step Monster In Law yet with FSMIL?? She is a whacko.

I was only going to have a small dinner party....but it wound up a little bigger than I expected. We're having a party next week with about 60 people- FH & I are paying for most of it, but our parents gave us a little money to help pay for it.

fh and i were forced into one by our moms, but it was nice and small. only close friends and family

My sister / MOH want to give us one but I dont want a party b/c we are having a house warming. I dont want my future guest to my wedding getting sick of seeing me before the big day

We didn't hold an engagement party. The most recent one I went to was held by the Bride's family.

My parents threw us a small engagement party with family and close friends.

I didn't have one but I think they're usually thrown by the parents of the bride or groom.

I really would not have called it an engagement party it was just mine and my FH immediate family at FH house. I got engagement gifts from them there.

I just realized my last post came out wrong. I'm NOT having an engagement party and I don't want one... I didn't mean to imply I was going to throw my own!!!

I had a surprise engagement party thrown for us!

My Dad and Step mom threw it at their house. It was unbelievable!!!!
