Re: POLL: Do you believe psychics?

While I can't say yes, I definitely believe in psychics, my boss has been to a 'supernatural advisor'. The first time she went, he asked her if he she had thyrid problems & she siad no & then a few months later, she found out she had some sort of nodule on her thyroid.

I have trouble believieng that is a coincidence.

I've listened to the guy who can communicate with the dead, and it sounds like I could do a better job!

'There is someone in your family whose name begins with an S. Or a letter near S. A T or a P perhaps? No?...They died from something in the upper body...Or lower body...A cancer perhaps...'

That said, they are fun anyway! I would take it all with a grain of salt though.

Some of them are pretty bad. Are you talking about John Edward? He is pretty funny, b/c if he asked someone something & they say no, he pretty much blames it on the deceased.

'Is there any one with an F, in your family, a man, a brother or unlce maybe?'

No.

Well, that's what I'm getting. Defintely an F, Frank, maybe?'

Nope. No Franks.

Anybody else with a Frank, in this area, b/c that's what I'm getting, so it is coming from somewhere.

Llike he never makes a mistake. . .

I read some book about what he does... I think it's called 'cold reading'? And they pretty much just throw random letters or dates out there and let the person determine their importance.

I also feel like if they told me I was going to meet a tall man I would marry the summer I turned 22 (and I was prone to believing psychics!), I would have d@mn well talked to every tall man I saw that summer!

Sort of the power of suggestion? That's what I always wondered... are they seeing the future, or giving you guidelines to look for? And if you draw the conclusions yourself... is it still psychic?

plus..isn't the term tall a little subjective?
Most men are going to be tall to us shorter gals...

Re: POLL: Do you believe psychics?

i think its half and half. i went to a palm reader in atlantic city and it was total hog-wash, but for $5 what do you expect. but, my fh was told he was going to meet me a year before he did. not that he really believes either, but the guy hit some things right on the head.

I enjoy going to psychics at the ren faire for amusement, but I have very little faith in what they say.

I do not believe some of the people that claim they are psychic.

But I do believe that some people do have some sort of psychic ability.

Re: POLL: Do you believe psychics?

I went to the Montell williams show when sylvia brown was there and i asked her a question... my fault- i asked a very nondescript question, that had an obvious answer- BUT, I needed t hear it! (it was about my grandma- and about my fh-)
so basically she did tell me what i wanted to hear, whether she was 'dead on' i dont know.

I like it for the 'fun' factor- i dont know how much of it is true...I also get nervous they will say something i dont want to hear.

Re: POLL: Do you believe psychics?

I went to one that was very good. I've been to a few others that weren't as on. This woman said that I would marry a man I met four years from then - I met DH four years later almost to the DAY! She also told me that she could see me on my wedding day in a big dress and I looked like Cinderella and that I was just so happy to be dancing with this man. And then she said I was especially happy because my mother really liked him - I have to say I have been through so many guys that my mom just hated, that I was truly relieved when she liked DH. Plus, when she originally mentioned the dress I was like NO WAY! No Cinderella dresses for me! and yet that's what I ended up with

Could all be coincidence...I'm still waiting for the two kids and big house she said I was going to have
