I voted for so-so..it really depends on the day and the specific situation.

I voted 'pretty high', although of course t fluctuates. I have been at the lower end of the scale, so I know I'm definitely NOT there anymore. I feel like the world is designed to give you low self esteem and you have to like fight your way up.

although there are days where I just feel like crap...so i guess sometimes it depends on the mood i'm in...

So-so, it really depends on my mood.
Most times I have high self steem but I'm never a doormat either.
You have to love yourself first, or else how do you expect other people to love you? jmo.

i have to say that i disagree..

i think that life gives you obstacles...and how you deal with those obstacles is where your self esteem is created!

ETA...i think a large part of your self esteem is LEARNED...
Life isn't out to get anyone...

I would never be a doormat-but i wouldnt say I am very high either...I voted so so because it depends on my situation/the incidence and WHO I am around...
With FH and My parents I have a high self-esteem because they make me feel great, special,loved, and comfortable...

That's kind of what I meant.

I don't think it's Out to get anyone, but that there is so much out there telling you you have to look a certain way, act a certain way, dress a certain way, that it's defintiely easier to just go with the flow, and much more difficult to have the strength and self esteem to go against that and be proud of who you are.

true...but i think the way parents raise their kids have a lot to do with it too!
Plus i think that self esteem is more than whether you go against the grain or going with the flow. I guess i feel it is much bigger...

AND i think that those who say they have HIGH self esteem...in reality it isn't that high at all

you're right, of course it's bigger than that.

And I agree about the parents. The people I know who have the best self esteem had the most supportive parents who really set them up to have hgh self esteem. My parents were great, but they were the perfectionist kind, who actually yelled at me when I came home with a 99%ile on astandardized test, even though thats the highest score! lol

I am so so...not high at all..I wish I had the balls to have a super high self esteem, but it's not within me..

I'm so-so. Things bring me down way more than they should. But at the same time, when I do a good job with something, I do feel good about myself.

pretty high. when i feel like my face is full of sits or that i gained weight, it goes down, like especially around that time of the month. otherwise im pretty content

Right now without a job, I feel pretty low. Before I felt okay.

I have low self esteem but I am not a door mat. It stops me from doing things I want to do sometimes.
