Well, having a background in advanced statistical analysis (I know, I don't seem the type)

You have to factor in the people who feel obligated to say YES, the ones who are having a bad day and just don't like ANYONE, so they'll say no, the people who are just annoyed with the poll, so they say 'who?', and the people who really don't like polls at all, people who log in under multiple names and re-vote, plus last week when all of the polls were on the fritz and things were adding up WAY TOO FAST....

So, once you pull all that together, all testing is probably pointless.
