Poll: Help a vegetarian choose ; Filet Mignon or porterhouse

Which would you include on the menu?

FH liked the filet better since it's a thicker cut and he felt the porterhouse was spicier than he liked, but I think maybe a porterhouse is more impressive.

I don't know anything about this since I haven't eaten a steak in over 15 years.

Filet are expensive because they are tender but they arent the most flavorful steak. I would go with the porterhouse

definitely porterhouse

half of the porterhouse is filet mignon, so you're getting both in one steak

Porterhouse is bigger so I'd say that.

I am contemplating this as well but I think i am leaning towards the Filet, it is less messy and a lot of people don't like to eat around a bone.

FH and I had the same dilemma, only with rib eye and filet. We were very close to getting the rib eye, but after talking to a few people and the BM, we decided on the filet because we realized most people prefer the filet and it makes for a better presentation.

I'm also a vegetarian and I would go with the Filet because sometimes that porter house has that grisly fat look. Filet is leaner. I know alot of people want steak but I am going to have a hard time seeing all this beef in one room. I've been told that you can't take a beef choice off the menu, many guests would be disappointed.

People seem to get excited about filet at weddings, there's jut something about it.

I'm also a vegetarian and we managed to do the CH and dinner menu with no red meat. It was actually my now husband's idea. Everyone was raving about the food and didn't seem to miss it..just thought I'd let you know!
