POLL: Help Me Decide How To Celebrate MY 30TH BIRTHDAY!!!!

So my 30th Birthday is coming up next Wednesday!

But my brain is on overload so I can't make a darn decision about how to celebrate .... I need your HELP!!

The original plan was to go for dinner at Outback, and then head to Strike in New Hyde Park for some bowling & fun.

FH got information on lane rental packages from Strike.

** Its $59 per person for 2 hours of unlimited bowling, shoe rental, food (pizza, chicken fingers, etc.), and beer/wine/soda included.

** Its $69 per person for 2 hours of all of the above w/ premium open bar included.

So .... which package sounds better - $59 or $69 ????

AND since that includes some food, would you scrap the dinner idea all together???

OR the other option is to go out for dinner at Outback, and show up at Strike and just wait for an available lane. It'll be Labor Day Weekend, so it might not be that crazy there.

Help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think go to NHP strike, because it may be busy at the outback restaurant. jmo

Would you go to Strike & just wait for lanes? Or do one of the package deals??

I'd say that the group is sort of mixed. Most will drink whatever is put in front of them , but if ordering drinks at the bar would order specific brand alcohol

I'd say strike only and go for the $69 package. If you have dinner first you might not take advantage of the food at Strike that you're paying for, plus I think it'd be more fun to do everything in one place. Also I hate Outback but that's because I had a bad experience at one in MD

I chose do dinner at Outback and then wait for lane at Strike-

1) it's Labor Day weekend so it probably won't be too busy there
2) if you're only unlimited for 2 hours, I don't think the $59-$69 is that worth it. Not sure how big of a group you have, but if its big enough, sometimes you can only get 2 games in 2 hours....so it might actually work out cheaper to just pay as you go there. but then again, I don't know how much of a drinking crowd you have there!! happy 30th in advance!!

I agree. You will have unlim food at strike so no sense in paying for more food too- might as well take advantage of the food there. Plus it's only $10 more for premium~ I think that is a much better deal!

it depends....

I would do the dinner at Outback first and then just wait for lanes if you don't think that ppl will be interested in bowling for two hours straight. I generally play one game and if I had outback prior to bowling, I would not be interested in paying 60 bucks for unlimited bowling and the food and drink at the bowling alley. I usually play one game and get bored.

On the other hand, if this bowling alley food is of pretty good quality, and your crowd likes to bowl, then i would scrap the Outback altogether and just purchase the package that best suits your guests. We're generally beer and wine drinkers, but your crowd maybe different.

Anyway, whatever you choose, I hope you have a fabulous 30th Birthday.
