my sister (married) his sister (married with kids that are invited FG and RB) my BFFL (has a BF and her parents and brother are invited) My 2 young cousins My 2 single cousins My brother (dating someone) My cousin (we aren't sure who she is, but she'll be there...possible gf) His friend (married) his other friend (married) his other friend (single)
his friends don't really know my friends or family.....i want people to have a good time, so i'm thinking to scatter and have people sit with who they would normally sit with. I don't want to force them all to one table esp. bc there are kids involved, etc......what do you think?

OMG i was going to put up the SAME poll today!!! My mother says that I 'have' to seat them all together. My response was 'i dont HAVE to do anything' hahaha. None of my BP is friends with one another and all have friends who will be at the wedding. I still havnt decided what I am going to do, so I am gong to keep an eye on this poll!

my mom pretty much said the same thing....def. less then thrilled about having ppl everywhere....i went to a wedding last year that had the BP with people they either knew or were related to and it just flowed better....i think thats what i'm doing

Mine and his are a mixed group as well. The most important thing to me (and maybe you can stress this to your mom) is that after all the work and time that my BP (and money) that they have done/spent for us, I want them to have a GREAT time at our wedding. And technically, after they walk down the aisle and all the pictures are taken, their job is done for the day, so I want them to have fun. I'm sitting them wherever I would sit them if they weren't part of my bridal party, absolutely with their dates/spouses, and with their friends and family.

Personally, I just HATE the BP Dais idea ... I think its very inconsiderate to your BP (and especially their dates/spouses) to MAKE them all sit together. I have never been able to figure out why couples do this. IMHO. I think its just rude.
We had our BP sit with the people they would enjoy spending the evening with the most ... their dates/spouses and their friends and family. I think its the right way to do things.
ETA: It might be the way things *used* to be done, but it just isn't anymore ...
