I was thinking that since the next GTG is planned for June, hopefully warm by then, that LIW would consider having the GTG outdoors with blankets, BBQ, music, games, hubbys, FI, kids etc. I wanted to know how you ladies felt about this.

That would be alot of fun! What a great idea! I would definitely go, and if my FH is home (Fingers Crossed!), I might be able to get him to go too!

I think that idea sounds great. I know it would take alot of coordination, but maybe if we paid an upfront charge and then everyone brought something, it would work out. It would be a great alternative and would allow the flexibility of bringing (or not) the other half and the kids. Wonderful idea Shamma. You are such a beautiful person (inside and out). It was a great pleasure meeting you!

bumping to get more responses. Hubby said he would come if the food was free He is such a lunatic, he said what are the suggestions for places and I told him of places in LI, his silly answer was, what about Canarsie Pier He said it would be easy to find, right off the Belt Pkwy

My husband would never want to be part of a GTG....he is happy I enjoy chatting and meeting all of you but he doesnt share my interest.
Im not really an outdoorsy person - hate dirt/bugs/etc.. so picnics arent usually my thing but I would still come if I could.
