Poll-How Much Did/Will You Pay For Invitations?

I'm just about to order mine and want to know how much people are or will be paying in general. This question is based on 100 invitations.

125 invites i paid $3300.00 Fairy Tale Affairs Massapequa. It included layered paper (linens & textured) invites RSVPS Reception cards directionals & Accomodation cards also all layered. The quality was beyond amazing especially the paper & i had a crystal brooch & cinched ribbon which is also why the price was high. We also had amazing printing & all addressing printed. The Calligraphy for the invitation was hand written & we used an outside vendor for that. FH & I wouldnt change a thing & so many people are keeping the invite because they said its a work of art. I got so many phone calls about how gorgeous this invite is. I was so happy people realized the importance of an invitation. It sets the tone for your wedding.

For 100 invites I'm spending less than $200 from www.theamericanwedding.com

From the sample I received, it's not only beautiful, but great quality

please look at costco's site. they have a ton, and the prices are decent. i ordered quite a few samples, and the quality was great.

paid $550 i believe for 110 invitations, included pocket folds, layered paper, with directions, accomodation, and rsvp card, on the front cover we had our monogram added with ribbon that went all around it.. that 550 also included addressing all of our invitations and personalizing our response cards..

meaning that instead of it saying M_____, it would read. Mr & Mrs. John Smith and it would say how many seats are reserved for them. I wanted to avoid having to number the response cards incase anyone forgot to write their name on the response cards and cut out the confusion as to how many people were invited.. I paid 1450 for 125 letterpress invites, response and reception cards from wedding paper divas.

I'm going to pay about $1,200 -1,300 for 200 letterpress invites with RSVP cards (Would have been $100 less but I had to pay for rush service).

i do not want to spend a lot on invitations, looking to pay like $200. i figure my invitations will just end up in peoples trash anyway, i would rather use the money elsewhere. but that is just me!

I paid around $900 for 250 invitations that included the following:

- 260 outer envelopes with pre-printed return address on each (along with a small design on the front)
- 250 wedding inserts
- 250 reception inserts
- 250 thank you cards with 250 envelopes

about $450 for 125 invites... and I didnt even want to spend that much, but from what others are saying, i guess it really isnt that expensive!

BUTTT dont forget to tack on the postage (mine will be about 80 cents each to send), and i am getting comp calligraphy done... so thats another expense

LOL.. I said the EXACT same thing when I read that!! That's almost as much as my photographer & videographer!!!

That is EXACTLY how we felt.. the first invite i picked out, which was what i thought simple, was priced out at $750.. YIKES...we got EXTREMELY simple invites..pretty but simple because like you said, they will all be going in the trash...

o boy i didnt relize they were so expensive, i havnt started looking into them yet but i am not planning on spending more then 300 and im going to need probally 125 so im going to keep my fingers crossed that i find a good deal somewhere....
