My son was married in July 04 and my daughters wedding is this Sunday, I had no choice to really shop around. I found both gowns at JC Penny's. And found them the same day. The colors were exactly what I wanted. And the prices were just right.I refused to pay those outrageous bridal store prices. By the time you add shoes, purse, jewerly, hair, nails, and anything else, its a very large expense.
In my opinion, its not the cost of the gown, its the quality of the gown, and moms don't have to spend tons of money. Just shop around and when the perfect gown jumps out at her, that will be the one.

She just couldn't find anything she loved. The dress she wound up with was about $800 I think. She looked beautiful!
