I love flowers, but never get them because Fh thinks delivery is too expensive (which I agree) but if he brings them home my darn cat eats them and we end up lockign the flowers up. I am hoping when we move tthings will change or else I may just buy them for myself!
i'm the only one who only gets them when he does soemthing wrong....which is very rare...

My Fi used to work in a florist and I got deliveries once or twice a week, now, forget it, I don't even see a single carnation. He always says 'Do you know what a rip off retail flowers are??' Whatever, I'll buy them for myself when we move in together because I love fresh flowers!!

I am so glad to see I am not the only one!!!
Not like I really need them for have room to display them (but would like them when I have a house, or when I had my aparment)
I have only gotten them a few times. When I was in AZ he used to send me them all the time, now,,,I think valentines day a few years ago I got them (of and mothers day he got me a rose plant), and I told him....to STOP WASTING the $$ on V-day marked up flowers....I did not mean the other days of the year too.

Rarely. Usually on Valentine's day and my birthday. If we see flowers on the street or something when we're together and I 'hint' that I want them, he'll buy them for me but he RARELY ever goes out on his own to surprise me with them (even though he keeps saying that he needs to buy me flowers more often - never does)

usually around the all holidays & anniversaries - easter always. his father must have done that for his mother, bc he buys me flowers every easter. it's cute. surprisingly, he doesn't buy flowers when he is in trouble with me! but he will surprise me every now and again... if it's to congratulate me on a job promo or just to lift my spirits!

Birthdays, Valentine's Day, Anniversary of the Day we met, Anniversary of the Day we started dating, Just because he missed me, because he knew I was depressed or stressed and the best reason...
He got a coupon from 1-800 Flowers or Hallmark

When we were dating I would say he bought me red roses every 2 weeks. Now I get them as random surprises aka not as often lol!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE flowers and would love to have them in the house all the time. Flowers just make me happy. FH is pretty good about getting them for me - I get them every couple of months. He's finally gotten the hint after I practically had a number of temper tantrums that went something like, 'how come I always do everything thing for you - cook, clean, do your laundry, and you can't even do so much as buy me some flowers to thank me, even though you know how happy it'll make me?!!!'
Such a simple little act - getting us flowers that is. I don't know why some guys make such a big deal out of it!

I've gotten flowers from him twice and I remember b/c both times were on Valentine's Day. Once for our first Valentine's Day '97 and then Valentine's Day 2001. And he only got them the second time b/c some flower venfdor was stationed outside his work so all the guys he worked with bought flowers. How pathetic am I?

Mine gave me beautiful soft lavender roses after our first date. We had been talking unique items. I’ve always loved looking at the “blue” roses. They’re called that but they’re actually purple in color. They are raised thornless and look almost fake when grouped closely together.
He’s given me all types of flowers since then and lots of great roses. Unique roses. Once it was something called ‘inspiration’ looked like red roses with tiger markings in a lighter shade of red. At first glance you think the petal is dead, but when you touch it and feel it alive and look again it’s very striking.
Finally there was the rose that really got people’s attention. A bi-colored rose. Starts a rustic yellow and tips a redish gold. That is what my entire wedding is based off of. That single rose. It’s the rose I’ll use as my bouquet and it’s the reason my theme is fallish. heh.
Lately I don’t let him buy me flowers (saving money) but he snuck in and bought me a plant (that flowers) for my birthday in August. Now if only I can keep it alive!
ETA: I saved all my roses.. dried them, but lost them on 9/11. Haven't the heart to dry anymore roses.

Sad thing is... before I met my FH I never got roses.. not even for my birthday! How sad is that.
I was a 24 yr old woman who had never had roses!!!
I think FH is making up for it. He's even given me a glass rose and a gold dipped rose. Oh and since i love the smell of leather/suade (go figure) he has found me three suade roses.
