POLL If there were more choices for CP other than flowers, would you?
Here's my question in more depth. CP by tradition are solely flowers. IF there were other choices would you have picked out something other than flowers for your CP? There aren't too many options that are really nice as non-flower CP: (PLEASE NOTE: I'm not referring to these as the option in the poll) Eiffel tower w/Ostrich feathers, Candles, Branches, et al. or make your own.... BUT what if there were? Do you think you would opt for something other than the tradional flower CP?

sure why not? I love candles so incorporating those into CPs. I really wanted only candles but FH thought flowers were pretty and my mom really wanted to see flowers too

I'm not having any flowers in my centerpieces. Mine are going to be all candles.
I've seen the tall centerpieces with the ostrich feathers though. They're hot! I wanted to do them but they were way too expensive. Even as a DIY.

Please note: I'm NOT referring to the ostrich feathers/branches/candle AS the option in the POLL. I'm just saying as examples, of non-flower, making the point that there are FEW choices out there ......But if there were something else.....would you?

we actually decided against using flowers as CP this week funny you should ask this question... we are doing a few per table candle and mirror things with rose petals(haven't decided real or fake on that yet) but the only flowers we are using are the bo k's and maybe 2 CP for the parents and bridal party's tables maybe with the card box and guest book but not sure on that yet.
Also if you go to proflowers.com they have wedding flowers now that are pretty reasonable. The only down fall to them is that you have to have them delivered to either you or the RH and put them in water or the fridge prior to the big day. I am pretty sure we are going with them simply since they are super cheap compared to a lot of florists.link to the flowers i'm using

Flowers for CP I think are ideal because the smell and colors has an effect on the food you eat.
For indoor stuffy receptions, flowers are key I think, but even in my outdoor wedding, I want to smell and see bright and fresh color!

I'm not really a flower person so our centerpieces are going to be a little unusual. They are still flowers, but in all greens, and using different textures like those weird pods things. I also saw an artichoke ( i know it sounds weird) in a photo (i'll try to attach) and I LOVED how different it looked... kinda still like a flower but a different texture and something unexpected. I told our florist the one thing I needed to have as part of the centerpiece was an artichoke. I think it's a cool idea to use other ideas as inspirations and not just automatically go with traditional flowers.

I never want to take home the CP at the end of the night cause it's always a floral thing, and I really don't feel like carrying a big floral thing home which will just die within the next few days.
I had toyed with the idea of doing fish in a fish bowl. I thought it'd be cool and different. But the work that would've had to gone into getting about 22 fish bowls, 22 fish, rocks for the bowls, setting it up, etc, seemed like it'd be too much.
So we went with flower CPs, haha. But I think we're going to put them in glass pumpkins to go with our fall theme.
